Every women wants glowing skin for that holiday party and believe it or not, it is not that difficult. The key is turning to natural skin products: you can buy products, make your own products at home, or add certain foods to your diet. Sometimes this last step is all it takes.

Yes, diet is a huge part of getting that skin to glow however there are other things you can try. Here are the tips I swear by for glowing skin:

Get your C. If you can’t get it from fruits and veggies, than invest in a supplement. It does wonders for the skin. After just a couple of weeks taking 1000 mg a day of a vitamin C supplement, my skin looked amazing. It works!

Exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. Dry skin cells build up on your skin making it look dull and lifeless. Make a batch of fresh papaya or pineapple in your food processor and spread it on your face for about 10 minutes, and then rinse it off.

Use a natural facial mist throughout the day. They are inexpensive, hydrate the skin, and give you a pick me up at the same time. The first time I used a facial mist, I got so many compliments on my glowing skin. Rose water is a favorite for many. Keep it in your purse.

Purchase a bottle of organic argan oil. You can use it under makeup to moisturize, before bed to moisturize while you sleep, or put over makeup throughout the day for instant glowing skin.

Essential oils are very strong so do some research on which oils are good for your skin type and which carriers to use. Never place the essential oils on your skin without a carrier.

Protecting your skin from the sun is of the utmost importance for adults of all ages as well as children. The most common way people choose to protect themselves from the harmful UVA and UVB rays of the sun is with regular store-bought SPF sunscreen.

SPF sunscreen, which stands for sun protection factor, is rated by a number – a number that denotes how much of the harmful rays the sunscreen can block out. Carrot seed oil is a natural antiseptic and antifungal and it also has significant antioxidant content. While carrot seed oil has a sun protection factor of 40, it does need to be mixed with a carrier oil before it’s applied to the skin to avoid irritation.

Many people choose to use other oils like wheat germ oil or even plain vitamin E oil at a ratio of about 10 carrier oil to 1 part carrot seed oil.

Wheat Germ Oil

Individuals that often go out in the sun without sunscreen or have dark skin and generally don’t worry about sunburn should still be using sun protection. However, SPF 30, 40 or higher may not be necessary for many of those individuals.

For those individuals, wheat germ oil, which has a sun protection factor of 20 is an ideal choice. Wheat germ oil can also be used as a carrier oil when combined with other natural oils that provide sun protection like carrot seed oil.
